🎯 Evaluation Criteria
(A) Classes I & II – Foundational Stage
Student performance is evaluated regularly through a variety of assessments.
Subjects: Language 1, Language 2, Mathematics, Environmental Science
- Term 1 (100 marks)
- Formative & Periodic Assessment: 40 marks (10 + 30)
- Term 1 Assessment: 60 marks
- Written: 50 marks
- Subject Enrichment Activities: 4 marks
- Multiple Assessment & Portfolio: 6 marks
- Term 2 (100 marks)
- Formative & Periodic Assessment: 40 marks (10 + 30)
- Term 2 Assessment: 60 marks
- Written: 50 marks
- Subject Enrichment Activities: 4 marks
- Multiple Assessment & Portfolio: 6 marks
(B) Classes III–V – Preparatory Stage
Performance is tracked continuously through structured assessments.
Subjects: Language 1, Language 2, Mathematics, Environmental Science
- Term 1 (100 marks)
- Periodic Assessment: 40 marks
- Term 1 Assessment: 60 marks
- Written: 50 marks
- Subject Enrichment Activities: 4 marks
- Multiple Assessment & Portfolio: 6 marks

Additional Notes:
- Discipline is assessed on attendance, sincerity, behaviour, values, tidiness, respect for rules, and attitude towards society and nation.
- Co‑scholastic activities and discipline are graded term‑wise on a 3‑point scale (A–C).
- For promotion to Class VI, 50% of Term 1 + 50% of Term 2 is considered. Minimum passing grade: D.
(C) Classes VI–VIII – Middle Stage
Evaluation follows the CBSE Assessment Scheme with two terms.
Subjects: Language 1, Language 2, Language 3, Mathematics, Science, Social Science
- Term 1 (100 marks)
- 30 marks: Periodic Assessment + Multiple Assessment + Subject Enrichment + Portfolio
- 70 marks: Term End Exam
- Term 2 (100 marks)
- 30 marks: Periodic Assessment + Multiple Assessment + Subject Enrichment + Portfolio
- 70 marks: Term End Exam
- Class VI: 10% of Term 1 + full Term 2 syllabus
- Class VII: 20% of Term 1 + full Term 2 syllabus
- Class VIII: 30% of Term 1 + full Term 2 syllabus
Additional Notes:
- Promotion: 50% of Term 1 + 50% of Term 2; minimum passing grade: D.
- Discipline assessed on attendance, sincerity, behaviour, values, tidiness, and respectfulness.
- Co‑scholastic grading (Work Education, Art Education, Health & Physical Education, Computer Skills) on a 5‑point scale (A–E).
(D) Classes IX–X – Secondary Stage
Evaluation follows CBSE’s Assessment Scheme.
- Total Marks: 100
- 80 marks: Annual Exam (Class IX) / Board Exam (Class X)
- 20 marks: Internal Assessment
- Periodic Written Test: 5 marks
- Multiple Assessment: 5 marks
- Portfolio: 5 marks
- Subject Enrichment Activity: 5 marks
Additional Notes:
- Promotion requires 33% marks in each subject.
- Class X students appear for two pre‑board examinations (first pre‑board counted as Periodic Test 3).
- Discipline graded on a 5‑point scale.
- Co‑scholastic activities (Work Education, Art Education, Health & Physical Education, Value Education & Environmental Studies) graded on a 5‑point scale.
- Three periodic written tests conducted annually; best two considered.
(E) Classes XI–XII – Senior Secondary Stage
- Class XI: Quarterly, Half‑Yearly, and Annual Examinations.
- Class XII: Two Periodic Tests + Two Pre‑Board Examinations.
- Mandatory participation in periodic tests, term exams, speaking/listening skills, and practical exams.
Promotion Criteria:
- Minimum 33% in each subject.
- For subjects with practicals: 33% in theory + 33% in practical separately, plus 33% aggregate.
- Minimum passing grade: D.
📌 Norms for Promotion
- Promotion is based on year‑long performance.
- Attendance: Minimum 80% required (Principal may reduce to 75% in exceptional cases).
- No grades/marks for absentees; no re‑exams conducted.
- Students failing twice in the same class will not be permitted to continue.
- Use of unfair means results in zero marks; repetition leads to expulsion.
- Good conduct, punctuality, and responsibility are essential requisites for promotion.
- Class X & XII students must appear for Pre‑Board examinations before public exams.
- In cases of misconduct, dishonesty, non‑payment of fees, or inadequate attendance, a student’s name may be withdrawn from the list of candidates even after qualifying prelims.
