π Leave of Absence
π General Guidelines
- Leave of absence is granted only for serious reasons and must be requested through a written application from the parent/guardian.
- Leave for social or religious functions should be discouraged.
π Application Procedure
- Without Prior Permission: If a student is absent without prior approval, the parent must submit a leave application on the same day. (Refer to the format printed in the School Diary).
- Short Absence (1β2 days): Parents must write and send a leave note in the School Diary (Leave Record section).
- Extended Absence (more than one week): Leave applications must be signed and approved by the Principal.
π©Ί Medical Leave
- If a student falls sick, a leave application must be submitted within two days; otherwise, the teacher will mark her absent.
- For prolonged illness, a medical certificate must be produced.
- Upon rejoining, the student must present both the leave application and a medical fitness certificate from the same doctor before being allowed back to class.
π« Consequences of Prolonged Absence
- Absence without sanctioned leave for more than 15 consecutive days may result in the studentβs name being struck off the rolls.
- Reβadmission, if granted, will require payment of the admission fee again.
π¨βπ©βπ§ Parent/Guardian Responsibilities
- Parents/guardians wishing to take their child home during school hours must personally visit the school office.
- A student will be allowed to leave only if escorted by a family member.
- During school hours, parents/guardians are not permitted to:
- See their children,
- Interview teachers,
- Visit classrooms, or
- Walk around the school premises,
without prior permission from the Principal.
