πŸ“Œ Leave of Absence

πŸ“ General Guidelines

  • Leave of absence is granted only for serious reasons and must be requested through a written application from the parent/guardian.
  • Leave for social or religious functions should be discouraged.

πŸ“„ Application Procedure

  • Without Prior Permission: If a student is absent without prior approval, the parent must submit a leave application on the same day. (Refer to the format printed in the School Diary).
  • Short Absence (1–2 days): Parents must write and send a leave note in the School Diary (Leave Record section).
  • Extended Absence (more than one week): Leave applications must be signed and approved by the Principal.

🩺 Medical Leave

  • If a student falls sick, a leave application must be submitted within two days; otherwise, the teacher will mark her absent.
  • For prolonged illness, a medical certificate must be produced.
  • Upon rejoining, the student must present both the leave application and a medical fitness certificate from the same doctor before being allowed back to class.

🚫 Consequences of Prolonged Absence

  • Absence without sanctioned leave for more than 15 consecutive days may result in the student’s name being struck off the rolls.
  • Re‑admission, if granted, will require payment of the admission fee again.

πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§ Parent/Guardian Responsibilities

  • Parents/guardians wishing to take their child home during school hours must personally visit the school office.

  • See their children,
  • Interview teachers,
  • Visit classrooms, or
  • Walk around the school premises,
without prior permission from the Principal.
